Suzanne combines these two prestigious family names: the daughter of Ren&eacute; Lalique and married to Paul Burty Haviland, she was herself a designer, renowned in her time for her talent, and left her mark not only on the family companies but also on such famous institutions as the S&egrave;vres factory and the Com&eacute;die-Fran&ccedil;aise.<\/p>\n<p>This exhibition pays homage to this discreet artist who worked with materials as varied as glass, porcelain and textiles, as well as designing theatre and opera costumes and stage sets. She drew a line, breathed new life into design and was inspired by her daily life.<\/p>\n<p>Suzanne Lalique-Haviland, decoration reinvented has been recognised as being of national interest by the Ministry of Culture and Communication.
